The Batik Factory & Museum at the Heart of Anshun

There is a comfortably sized, two-floored complex with a bare courtyard in the heart of Anshun. It houses the Fuyuan Batik Museum, better known as the Anshun Batik Museum, which also includes a batik-making factory section in a large, well-lit room on its second floor. This is where I met seven aunties who have been making batik for decades, and where I learned to make my own.
